GCBT invites you to join your fellow members at Trent University in Peterborough on the 2025 August Civic Holiday weekend (August 1, 2 ,3 and 4) for some awesome cycling!
 
If your friend, spouse, or significant other prefers lesser routes or alternative things to do, then please be assured that Peterborough has lots to offer. It has an excellent cycling infrastructure. The 10K ride to Lakefield rolls by several of the locks of the Trent Canal system. You will find a Peterborough Cycling map at the registration desk when you arrive. There are lakes where you can paddle your kayak or canoe. There will be a free music concert, featuring a U2 tribute band, as part of Peterborough Musicfest, at Del Crary Park on Saturday night. You can swim in the Otonabee river, which passes through the campus.

We will have the usual assortment of long, medium, and short routes each day.
 
We will be staying in the air conditioned Gzowski  Residence on the picturesque campus of Trent University. The residence provides towels and bed linens.
 
As usual, the club has arranged for your registration to include three breakfasts and two dinners, along with a reception on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be pizza.
 
Each room in the residence contains one double bed. Each pair of rooms shares a single bathroom.
 
If you wish to share a bed with your spouse, significant other, or really close friend, then the cost will be $600 for two for the weekend.

The cost will be $405 for a single room.
 
If you wish to arrive on Thursday and/or leave on Tuesday, the cost will be an additional $ 74 per room per night. This will not include any provision for food.
 
When you register, you will have the option of designating the name of the person with whom you would like to share the bathroom. If we are able to give everyone their own bathroom, then we will ignore your sharing request.
 
Every person attending must be a 2025 GCBT member. If you are not, then make sure to join for 2025 by going to https://www.gcbt.org/product-page/2024-club-membership. As ever, please make sure to fill in the membership application, including filling in your initials to indicate acceptance of the ride waiver, and clicking on Submit to transmit the details to the club. Also in the rider name field to show for whom the membership is being purchased and click on either Add to Cart.  The cart is shown at the top of the page.
 
You cannot cancel after July 10, but you may sign up after that, if space is available.
 
Checkout time on Monday will be 3 p.m., so there will be plenty of time to get in  a ride in  the morning and still be able to get back in time to shower before leaving.
