Rattlesnake Outback

Sunday August 30, 2015 10:00 am

55/75/90 km

If you didn’t do Rattlesnake Point on Dave’s ride, here’s your chance! 55/75k avoids Rattlesnake.

Possibly one of the hilliest rides on this year's GCBT touring calendar, this route has great scenery with exhilarating descents, rolling hills and challenging climbs.  Most of the climbs are not long, but there are many.

The long route of 90k takes in the challenging Rattlesnake Point switchback Appleby road amongst its many climbs.  Food and drink options at 35k in Kilbride and 55k in Campbellville.

The 75k medium avoids the Rattlesnake climb but still includes some nice climbs and beautiful views.  Food and drink options at kilometer 36 in Campbellville.

The shorter 55k is almost an out-and-back ride, but with a loop at the furthest east point with some nice descents before returning. No Rattlesnake climb on this route either. There are NO food or drink options available on this route.

gpx file attached or available on ridewithgps.  Maps and cue sheets for all routes available at the ride start.  Everyone rides the first 26 km together.

Starting Point: Commuter parking lot, Hwy 401 exit 286 south, Townline Road, Cambridge.
