This Year's Tours and Events

Special Events 2017

This year we have three GCBT weekend tours and two non-GCBT tours to liven up your cycling season. Details of these exciting weekend tours are outlined below.

In order to ensure that we all have an enjoyable cycling season, please take a few minutes to review the following information (by clicking on link above) on how to access all the weekly cycling events.

As we will no longer be printing brochures in our paperless effort, the Google calendar at the bottom of the main page is the main source of all the necessary riding details.  This will also prevent any confusion if a ride start of route needs a last minute update (the calendar is quick and easy to access).

Happy Cycling my Friends!

On May 28th, 2017, join this family-friendly group cycling event in downtown Kitchener to promote safe sharing of the road and to honour cyclists killed or hurt while riding.  Ride will depart from Kitchener City Hall at 2:00 p.m.  Bring your bike, helmet and wear a white t-shirt.

June 11, 2017
Non-GCBT ride, but highly recommended! Join 3,000+ riders and fellow GCBT members at this cooperative event. Various distances and start times.  As a GCBT member, you are entitled to a discounted entrance fee for the 2017 Cambridge Tour de Grand. The discounted entrance fee will include the event T-shirt (first 2,000 registered riders so register early!), fully stocked rest stops, route maps, mechanical and sag wagon support, AND a full lunch upon your return from your ride. For entries prior to June 5, 2017, your discounted fee is only $30 for individuals and $65 for a family of four. The discounted fee on ride day is $35 and $70 respectively.

To obtain the discounted fee ($5 off), simply write "GCBT" beside your name on the registration form. This process will apply to both mailed in registration forms and forms completed on ride day. If you plan to preregister, you will need to mail in the registration form and cheque as the online system does not process discounts. Mailed in registrations also save you the online service fee.
